Edwardian Platinum Diamond & Russian Amethyst Ring 9.57ct
An incredibly stunning amethyst and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum, this striking ring holds a large Russian amethyst stone at its center, which weighs approximately 9.57ct. The faceted, oval-shaped amethyst is simply gorgeous, displaying a saturated deep purple color and excellent clarity. Surrounding the amethyst stone is a diamond encrusted border comprised 17 sparkling old european diamonds which weigh approximately 3.06 carets G color VS1-2 clarity, which frame the amethyst perfectly, creating a stunning halo. A very glamorous piece, the ring makes an impressive statement when worn and would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, but could easily be re-sized if desired. The center of the ring measures approximately 1" tall and 5/8" wide, resting 3/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or amethyst stone, and all of the diamonds are intact.
