Edwardian Platinum & 18kt Diamond & Turquoise Scarab Ring
A fabulous diamond and turquoise ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This stunning ring is made of 18kt yellow gold that is topped in platinum and depicts a carved turquoise scarab beetle that is surrounded by a border of old Rose Cut diamonds. The scarab has wonderful hand carved detail, rich blue color and is prong set in 18kt gold. The surrounding 20 old Rose Cut diamonds are set in platinum and have a total approximate weight of .50ct tw. The inside shank of the ring is stamped "PLAT" and "18CT". This wonderful and rare piece would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7 but it could easily be resized. The scarab beetle measures a little more than 3/8" wide, a little more than 1/2" tall and has a depth of 1/4"
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold, platinum or to the scarab beetle and all of the diamonds are intact.
