Edwardian Platinum & 14kt Drippy Diamond Pendant
A gorgeous diamond pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece carries a simple yet lovely design which looks gorgeous worn. Made of 14kt yellow gold topped in platinum, the pendant begins with a curved row of 2 old Rose Cut and 1 center Mine Cut diamond that are bezel set with a surrounding open channel. Two platinum topped bars hang from the center diamonds where a single bezel set old European diamond swings from the bottom of each bar. The bars are slightly different in length, giving the pendant an unusual yet feminine look. The 2 dangling diamonds are surrounded by 2 open channels with a round bordering frame and have a total weight of approximately .28ct tw. They are each topped with an accenting old Rose Cut diamond which completes the piece wonderfully. Two small rings attach to the row of 3 diamonds where the complimentary chain attaches. The chain clasps at the back. A real beauty, this stunning piece would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The diamond pendant hangs approximately 1 3/4" long, is 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/8". The chain measures approximately 15.25" long but could easily be adjusted in length if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. All of the diamonds are intact and there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or chain. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
