An absolutely exquisite diamond and onyx ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The center diamond stone, which is an old European Cut, has a total weight of .90ct tw. It is set in the center of a beautiful and ornate domed platinum setting that rests high above the finger. The stone has H-I color and a clarity of I1. The diamond is bezel set in platinum and sits atop the delicate mounting which is surrounded by feminine wirework and milgrained details. Also set within the beautiful mounting are 42 Single Cut sparkling diamonds and 18 hand cut calibrated onyx stones which have a flower-like design. The onyx borders the bottom of the domed mounting, resting on either side of each diamond lined "petal". The accent diamonds have a total approximate weight of .95ct tw and the inside shank of the ring is marked "8912". The overall diamond weight of the ring is 1.85ct tw. The ring comes with an appraisal by an independent and accredited Gemologist. With a very different look, it is an absolutely gorgeous ring which would look beautiful worn everyday or could make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 7.75 but it could easily be re-sized. When worn, the ring sits a little more than 3/8" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to diamond or onyx stones which are intact.
