Known as the pioneer of the "anticlastic raising" technique in metalwork, Michael Good is an accomplished sculptor and jewelry maker. He discovered how to take an open formed piece and make a tubular form, known as a "closed seam speculum" which is represented in his 'loop' jewelry collection. His work is represented in galleries, stores and private collections internationally and his pieces are very beautiful and collectible, each being a true piece of art.
A wonderful and artistic pair of contemporary Michael Good earrings! Made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold, each earring resembles an abstract variation of a hoop earring, which formed by a double loop, creating an interesting three dimensional look. The loops are thicker at the bottom and gradually become thinner towards the top. As part of the creative design, the end of each earring wire hooks into the back of the earring, where it is contained within the tubular end of the gold loop. Each earring is signed "© Michael Good," along with a small hallmark and ".750." The earrings are wonderfully lightweight and have a marvelous look that would be perfect for day or night!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 5/8" long, measure 1" along the side, 1/2" across the front and are slightly less than 1/4" at their thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the 18kt yellow gold earrings or wires.
