Victorian 9kt Gold Freemasonry Bloodstone Fob
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hangs from the ribbon or chain of a pocket watch. Its purpose is to decorate or add weight to the watch chain itself making it easier for the watch to be withdrawn from a pocket.
A stunning and collectable fob from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful piece is made of 9kt rosy yellow gold and features a fantastic 3-dimensional Freemasonry design. Each side of the figural fob is decorated with various objects reflective of the masonic organization, including a gavel as well as the square and compass. The 3-dimensional design rests atop a rounded bloodstone seal which has a smooth surface and it hangs from a gold ring which is perfect for hanging from your favorite chain. The fob has several English hallmarks: a gavel, the numbers "9" and "375", the cursive letter "T" as well as the letters "C & L". A beautiful and collectable piece, it would make a wonderful addition to any Freemasonry collection!
Measurement: The fob hangs approximately 1 3/8" long and the agate has a diameter of 7/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or bloodstone fob.
