Art Deco Platinum Diamond & Sapphire Ring
A stunning diamond and sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This wonderful platinum ring has a diamond that is set in the center of a slightly convex, elongated diamond-shaped setting which curves nicely around the finger. The center stone is bead set in a octagonal box setting and set above and below are two smaller diamonds that are bead set in a triangular-box setting. Framing the 3 diamond design are four calibrated sapphires, creating a curved rectangular shape. Surrounding the central design is delicate Filigree wirework, lovely milgrained detail and sparkling diamonds throughout. The shoulders of the band include a simple floral motif that compliments the rest of the detail throughout the ring. The inside of the shank is stamped "IRID" and "PLAT". It's a lovely ring that would look beautiful worn everyday or could make a unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.5 but it could easily be re-sized. The diamond shaped plaque measures approximately 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds and sapphires are intact.
