A stunning diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This gorgeous ring is made of 18kt white gold and features a beautiful old Mine Cut diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set in a square-shaped setting with an accenting cutout design along the four sides of the square. The diamond has G color, SI1 clarity, and a weight of approximately 0.70ctw. Bezel set on each shoulder of the ring is a tapered synthetic sapphire, weighing approximately 0.06ctw. The sapphires have a beautiful brilliant blue color and compliment the diamond perfectly. Surrounding the stones is a gorgeous filigree mounting with a floral motif and delicate milgrained detail. The shank is stamped "18K-ML-PAT." The ring was appraised in April 2013 by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $5,500.00. A dazzling piece, it looks marvelous when worn and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a small 4.5 but could be easily resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, diamond, or to the sapphire stones, all of which are intact.
