A lovely Art Deco (ca1920) diamond and sapphire engagement ring! This beautiful piece has a single diamond stone that rests in the center of a very ornate mounting. The diamond, which is an old European Cut, has an approximate total weight of .24ct tw and is set in the lovely platinum setting. The color of the stone is K and the clarity is SI1. The diamond is prong set in a hexagonal box setting and sits atop the delicate wirework mounting which has a scrolled floral motif. Set on each shoulder of the diamond is a baguette sapphire. The unusual design of the ring is simply wonderful and the ring looks striking on. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in April 2012 and has a stated replacement value of $2,500. It is an absolutely beautiful ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.25 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, diamond or to the sapphire stones, which are intact.
