A stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This fabulous ring is made of platinum and features a lovely Cushion Cut sapphire bezel set at its center. The sapphire stone has a beautiful deep blue color and weighs approximately 2.12ct. Surrounding the sapphire is double halo design with of 2 rows of old Rose Cut diamonds. With a total of 38 diamonds, the stones have a total approximate weight of 0.25ctw, H-J color range and SI clarity range. On the shoulders of the ring are 6 additional diamonds. On the underside of the ornate mounting is a scrolled wirework design and fine milgraining can be found framing the sparkling diamonds. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist in November 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $11,000.00. It's a gorgeous piece and would make a wonderful everyday piece or a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and the sapphire stone and all of the diamonds are intact.
