A lovely Art Deco (ca1920) diamond and sapphire engagement ring! This beautiful piece has a single diamond stone that rests in the center of a very ornate filigree mounting. The diamond, which is an old Mine Cut, has an approximate total weight of 0.15ctw and is set in the lovely 18kt white gold setting. The color of the stone is G-H and the clarity is SI1. The diamond is prong set in a box setting and sits atop the delicate milgrained wirework mounting which has a scrolled floral motif. Forming a square shaped design, 4 additional Single Cut diamonds are set in the four corners surrounding the center stone and set on the shoulders and on the sides of the mounting are 4 sapphires. The unusual design of the ring is simply wonderful and the ring looks striking on. The ring comes with an appraisal by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist. It is an absolutely beautiful ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5 but could easily be re-sized. When worn, the ring sits approximately 1/4" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, diamond or to the sapphire stones, all of which are intact.
