A beautiful diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is made of platinum and has a prong set diamond stone that rests in the center. The diamond, which is an old European Cut, has an approximate total weight of 0.89ctw and rests atop a beautiful wirework mounting with delicate engraving and milgrained details. The stone has K color and VS2 clarity. Set on the shoulders of the center diamond are 8 graduating French cut synthetic sapphires, totaling approximately 0.12ctw as well as 22 Single Cut diamonds which weigh approximately 0.35ctw. The contrast between the deep blue sapphires and diamonds is simply breathtaking! The inside of the ring is stamped "10%IRIDPLAT". The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in December 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,000.00. It is a stunning design and would make a gorgeous engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.25 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, diamond or to the sapphire stones, all of which are intact.
