Georgian 15kt Silver-Topped Diamond Starburst Earrings

An absolutely breathtaking pair of diamond starburst earrings from the Georgian (ca1780) era! These beautiful English earrings are made of silver-topped 15kt rosy yellow gold and form the shape of a dazzling starburst. Resting at the center of each is a stunning Old Mine Cushion Cut diamond, which is held in a scalloped prong setting. Lining the rays and points of the starburst are delicate bead set Rose Cut diamonds, creating a sparkling, diamond-encrusted effect that is simply mesmerizing. At the top of each starburst is a simple gold earring wire, allowing for secure and comfortable wear. Measurements: Each earrings hangs 1 3/8" long, has a 1" diameter, and is slightly convex in shape with a depth of 3/8" at the thickest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver-topped gold setting, and all of the diamonds are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
