Georgian 18kt Rose Cut Diamond Snake Ring

SKU: WAB975

$5,395
The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.

This unusual snake ring from the Georgian (ca1790) era is quite remarkable! Made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold, the ring depicts a single snake, whose body and tail coil around the finger to form the band. Set in the center of the snake's head and all along its body are 31 old Rose Cut diamonds, which are individually set in box-like links that resemble scales. The largest diamonds rest in the snake's head, while the smallest stones accent the tip of its tail. Two delicate ruby stones represent the snake's eyes, while simple etched nostrils, and mouth complete the snake's facial features. A wonderful piece for any snake lover, it looks fantastic when worn and would make an incredible addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a 7.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the diamonds and both rubies are intact.
