Art Deco 14kt Onyx & Carnelian Bead Necklace

SKU: PMP486

$2,995
A spectacular beaded necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1920) era! This gorgeous piece is comprised of a strand of alternating carnelian and onyx beads, which are split in the center and separated by faceted rock crystal discs. Each bead is smoothly polished into an elongated conical shape. The rich natural color of the carnelian stones contrasts perfectly with the bold black appearance of the onyx beads. Separating each bead is a 14kt yellow gold ball and two gold spacers, a perfect accent! The beads are slightly graduated, with the smallest beads at the ends and the larger beads resting at the center. Strung on sturdy flexible wire, the piece fastens securely with a large gold spring ring clasp in the back stamped "14K." The vibrant, earthy colors and dramatic size of the beads make this necklace a wonderful statement piece. It looks magnificent when worn and would make an impressive addition to any collection!

Measurements: The overall length of the necklace is approximately 27". The largest bead, which is in the center of the strand, measures approximately 1" long and is 1/2" thick. The smallest bead measures approximately 3/4" wide and 3/8" thick. The gold spacer beads measure 5mm in size.

Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is very good, with all of the beads, spacers, and findings intact and securely strung. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage, chips, or scratches to any of the beads. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
