Victorian 10kt Diamond Repousse Horse Locket
An lovely gold locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is made of 10kt yellow gold and has the wonderful repousse image of three horse heads on the front. The raised image is intricately detailed and shows the horses' heads in profile, complete with flowing manes and three sparkling diamonds to depict their eyes. The back of the piece is smooth, and the locket opens to reveal two round spaces with gold frames for keeping special photographs inside. At the top of the piece is a gold jump ring forming the bail. This wonderful locket is beautifully made and would look lovely worn on a gold chain. It would be perfect for the equestrian enthusiast and would make a very special addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs 7/8" long, has a diameter of 1" and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides minimal, normal surface wear, is no apparent damage to the gold setting or bail and all three diamonds are intact. The locket opens easily and closes securely.
