Art Deco 14kt Moonstone Drop Necklace
A lovely moonstone necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This elegant piece is made of 14kt white gold and is comprised of a delicate moonstone chain and moonstone drop centerpiece. A single square-shaped moonstone in a textured open bezel setting hangs at the bottom of the centerpiece, below a vertical row of three moonstone cabochons. The cabochons are slightly graduated, and are also held in complimentary open bezel settings. The rest of the piece is comprised of sections of thin chain that alternate with delicate moonstones held in an open eyeglass setting. At the center of the necklace where the moonstones meet the chain, two additional moonstone cabochons separated by long bar links form an elegant attachment. The blue moonstones compliment the translucent pale blue larger moonstone perfectly! A simple spring ring clasp marked "14K" fastens the chain securely in the back. This gorgeous necklace has a very feminine and beautiful design and would be lovely for everyday wear. It would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 17.5" long. The centerpiece hangs 2" long from top to bottom.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or to any of the moonstones, all of which are intact. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
