Edwardian Faceted Natural Amber Bead Necklace 24"
A fantastic beaded amber necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful necklace is of a single graduated strand of faceted amber beads. The piece is hand-strung on orange string and is finished with a large gold-filled spring clasp. The amber beads vary in size and shape, and are covered in large facets on all sides. A stunning variety of rich colors are represented by the natural amber beads, including vibrant orange, burnt sienna, and deep cherry amber. A perfect everyday piece, it would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the necklace is approximately 24". The necklace has a weight of 28.5 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is very good. There is some normal surface wear to some of the amber beads, including a a few small chips to a few beads and some wear on the facets, which is not unusual for a piece from the Edwardian era, and not visible when worn. The stringing is secure and the gold-filled spring ring clasp is in good working condition.
