A simple yet stunning opal bead necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stunning piece is comprised of 68 graduating opal beads which have magnificent hues of green, blue, red and purple. Alternating with the beads are smaller faceted rock quartz crystal spacers. The beads are strung on hand-knotted white thread and at the back is a simple yet ornate 14kt white gold clasp that is stamped "14K". It's a great, easy to wear piece that would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 19" long. The beads graduate in size with the smallest bead measuring a diameter of 1/8" and the largest bead measuring 3/8" in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the opal beads or to the rock quartz crystal spacers. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
