Art Deco Sterling Lavender "Pools of Light" Necklace

SKU: 37468

$1,795
A fantastic and unusual necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Traditionally known as "Pools of Light", this beaded necklace is comprised of 20 smooth orbs of lavender-colored glass that are connected to each other by strands of sterling chain. Unlike the traditional Pools of Light made of clear rock crystal, these beautiful links have a lovely and translucent pale purple color, giving them a soft, feminine appearance. Surrounding each glass sphere is a simple sterling wire bezel that wraps securely around the outside. The necklace slips easily on and off overhead, but also clasps in the back with a sterling spring ring clasp. The chain and wire bezels have a natural patina that gives the silver a darkened antique look, complimenting the pale purple hue of the glass perfectly. Pools of Light have a striking appearance when worn, and this necklace is a particularly stunning example. It would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!

Measurements: The entire length of the necklace measures 36" long. Each lavender glass "Pool of Light" orb has a diameter of approximately 5/8".

Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage or scratches to any of the lavender glass orbs or to the sterling silver setting. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
