A lovely diamond lavalier pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This wonderfully feminine piece has a soft 3-dimensional design that is accented with old European Cut diamonds. The pendant begins with 2 bezel set diamonds, each of which is attached to a 14kt yellow gold, leaf-shaped bar. Each bar has two cutouts at its center along with delicate etchings on its surface. The two bars come together at a gold box setting, which has a prong set diamond at its center. Attached to the center diamond is another leaf-shaped bar and finishing the pendant is a gorgeous gold frame with a sparkling prong set diamond in its center. The 4 diamonds have a total approximate weight of .30ct tw, a color of H-I, and a clarity of VSS1. The piece attaches to a fine yellow gold chain, which is stamped “14K” on the clasp. It's a simply exceptional piece and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: The pendant hangs 2 1/8" long, is a little less than 1 3/4" wide when stretched open, and has a depth of less than 1/8". The chain measures 15" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or chain and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
