Edwardian Platinum, 14kt, Ruby & Diamond Crown Necklace
A stunning diamond and ruby crown necklace from the Edwardian (ca1900) era! This exquisite crown pendant adorns 24 vibrant rubies and 32 sparkling diamonds which are set in a 14kt yellow gold setting, topped in platinum. All 32 diamonds, and four of the rubies represent points of the crown. The four rubies truly stand out, as they are the only stones bezel set in the yellow gold. The rest of the 20 luscious rubies rest along the band of the crown. The overall approximate diamond weight is .35ct tw. Two small rings rest on the top of the crown and connect to a modern platinum chain. A real beauty, this stunning piece would look lovely worn alone or with other complimentary pendants!
Measurements: The crown pendant measures 7/8" tall, is 1 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/8". The chain measures 15 1/2" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the crown necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or platinum and all of the diamonds and rubies are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
