Victorian 14kt Buttercup 5 Stone Diamond Necklace
A lovely diamond necklace from the Victorian era (ca1880)! This feminine necklace is comprised of 5 old Mine Cut diamonds which are prong set in a buttercup setting made of 14kt gold. The diamonds graduate in size, with the largest stone resting in the center, and hang from a 14kt yellow gold chain in a festoon-like design. The diamonds have an approximate total weight of .34ct tw and the piece appears to have the original chain and clasp. It sits perfectly along the neckline and looks wonderful on. It would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the chain or to the buttercup settings and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in excellent working condition.
