SKU: 0062

$3,495 $6,795
An exquisite handmade necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece was originally an antique pin, and is now a beautiful and stylish conversion piece. The necklace is made of 18kt yellow gold, and features a lovely cherub pendant that hangs from a complimentary gold chain. The cherub's face is hand-carved from a vibrant opal, which rests between two feathered gold wings. The carved facial features are exceptionally detailed, including 3-dimensional details and fine curls of hair. The wings are ornately textured and feature 9 accent diamonds (approximately 1pt each) scattered throughout. Attached to the top of each wing is a strand of gold chain, fastening with a lobster clasp in the back. A single bezel set diamond provides the perfect accent at one side of the chain. This spectacular and unusual pendant is very rare, and would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any collection!

Measurements: The pendant measures approximately 2" wide and approximately 7/8" tall. The cherub's face measures approximately 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and has a depth of 1/4". The chain measure 15.5" in length.

Condition: The piece is in good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, chain, or clasp. All of the diamonds are intact. There is a chip on the right side edge of the cherub's head, which is not noticeable when the piece is worn, and does not detract from the overall beauty of the design.
