Victorian Sterling & 18kt Diamond Crescent Necklace 3.50ctw
A stunning diamond crescent pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous piece is made of sterling topped 18kt gold and forms the shape of a sparkling crescent. Adorning the front surface of the crescent are 15 old Mine Cut and 8 old Rose Cut diamonds. The diamonds are bead set and are graduated, with the larger diamonds at the center and the smaller Rose Cut diamonds at the tips. The overall total approximate diamond weight for the piece is 3.50ctw. Along the outer side edge of the pendant is a scalloped wirework design. The crescent, which was originally worn as a pin, has been converted to a pendant and hangs from a modern 14kt yellow gold chain which fastens in the back. A truly gorgeous piece, this sparkling pendant and chain looks stunning when worn and would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 17" in length and crescent measures 1 1/4" wide, 1 3/8" tall, and is 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklaceis excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling topped gold, and the diamonds are all intact. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
