An absolutely fabulous micro mosaic pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Tiny tiles with vivid colors of glass have been hand set into the image of an ornate urn which sits at the center of this piece. The urn is wonderfully detailed and rests on a beige surface with a background of white mosaic tiles. The image is surrounded by a green tile frame that is bordered by black and white dots. Set in 14kt yellow gold, there are also scrolled accents on all 4 sides of the pendant. On the back of the piece is a pin clasp which is stamped "14K" and large fluted bail rests at the top. It's a fantastic micro mosaic piece and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The micro mosaic pin/pendant hangs 2 3/4" long, is a little less than 1 1/2" at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. Amazingly there are no apparent chips or cracks in the mosaic. There are some surface scratches in the gold on the back of the pendant which is normal for a piece of this age.The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
