A lovely and unusual gold and enameled pin from the Retro (ca1940) era! The piece, which is made of 14kt yellow gold depicts a musical staff with a treble clef and 3 notes. The notes have red enameled heart bases and a sign following the 3 notes has a black enameled surface. Swinging from the bottom of the musical staff are 6 wonderful gold charms, each depicting a unique design. The first charm is a dancing ballerina, the second, a realistic looking harmonica, and the third, a hula girl with a chain link grass skirt. The last three charms are an old fashioned microphone, a gold whistle and park bench with 2 enameled hearts in the center. The charms all have wonderful and intricate detail and hang from thin gold chain. On the back of the pin is a long bar pin with a secure clasp. The clasp and two of the charms are stamped "14K". It's a very unusual piece and would be perfect for any lover of the arts!
Measurements: The musical staff base of the pin measures approximately 1 3/4" wide. The charms hang at different lengths with the ballet dancer hanging 2 1/4" in length to the longest hanging park bench charm that hangs 2 3/4" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. The clasp of the pin is secure and in good working condition and there is no apparent damage to gold or enameling. All of the charms are in excellent condition.
