A simply beautiful jelly opal ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! Set in the center of this striking piece is a single, large jelly opal which is set within 14kt yellow gold. The opal is prong set within an ornate mounting which has a twisted rope frame. The twisted rope carries along the shoulders of the mounting along with a textured feather accent. The opal has wonderful orange color and vibrant flashes of pink, yellow and green which catch the light beautifully. This fabulous ring would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The jelly opal, along with its twisted rope wire frame, measures 3/4" at its widest point, slightly more than 7/8" at the tallest point and has a depth of 3/8". It has a finger size of 6 but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or the jelly opal stone, which is intact.
