Art Deco 14kt Carved Rock Quartz & Diamond Ring
A fabulous rock quartz crystal ring from the Art Deco period (ca1920)! Made of 14kt white gold, the ring is comprised of a long, rectangular rock quartz crystal plaque which has a single diamond set in the center. The rock quartz crystal has a polished finish on the front surface and a unique reverse carved design on the back that shows through the to the front, giving the piece wonderful depth. The plaque is held in place with four simple prongs and the sides of the mounting display a flowing wirework design with a detailed floral motif. A diamond rests in the middle of a diamond shaped gold setting which is riveted into the center of the plaque. It's a wonderful ring with a true Art Deco look and it would make a fabulous addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The rock quartz crystal plaque measures 3/8" wide, slightly more than 3/4" tall and approximately 1/4" thick. The ring has a finger size of 7.25 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the rock quartz crystal and the diamond stone is in intact.
