Late Art Deco 14kt Heart Signet Ring
A signet ring can be represented with an intaglio (which is created by carving below the surface of a stone), or by a simple smooth seal. Its purpose would have been to seal the wax of a letter or note.
A wonderful gold signet ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This lovely piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and has a flat heart shaped face in the center. A lovely ridged design accents the sides of the heart and gives the piece an attractive texture. The heart signet has a smooth surface, allowing the wearer to add a set of engraved initials or simply leave it smooth and the shank is stamped "14K". This beautiful ring has a simple and romantic design that would make a lovely gift for someone special!
Measurements: The signet heart measures 5/16" tall and 3/8" wide. The ring has a finger size 5.25, but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold.
