A simply exquisite and unusual opal and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous ring is made of platinum and has a single oval-shaped cabochon opal stone set in its center. The stone, which is particularly large in size, is prong set and has simply magnificent color with hues of green, blue, red, orange and yellow. This center stone is surrounded by 20 Single Cut diamonds that are bead set and on each shoulder of the opal, a baguette cut diamond rests. The underside of the band is stamped “10%IRIDPLAT”. The opal stone is absolutely stunning and the ring looks beautiful on. It would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5 but could easily be resized. The oval shaped opal stone, including the diamond border, measures 1/2" at its widest point, a little more than 1/2" at the tallest point and has a depth of slightly more than 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the opal stone all of the diamonds are intact.
