Art Deco Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Ring 4.50ct center
An absolutely breathtaking sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! Made of platinum, this stunning piece features an exquisite 4.50ct sapphire in the center, surrounded by a border of 12 sparkling diamonds. The diamonds weigh approximately 1.50ctw and are bezel set within a square-shaped mounting with a scalloped border. The contrast between the vivid blue sapphire stone and diamond border is simply magnificent! The sapphire stone has a double 4-prong setting and sits slightly above the diamond border, which is accented with delicate milgrained detail. The underside of the ring reveals a flower-like filigree setting and the inside of the shank is stamped "PLAT" along with two small hallmarks. A truly spectacular ring, it makes a stunning statement when worn and would be a gorgeous everyday piece or a unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The face of the ring measures approximately 5/8” tall, 5/8" wide and 1/4" thick. The ring has a finger size 8 but could easily be re-sized if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the sapphire and diamond stones, all of which are intact.
