A wonderful agate ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is made of sterling silver and has a large rectangular face. Prong set in the upper left corner of the face of the ring is a square-shaped, convex agate stone. The stone is brown in color with specs of green and white. Prong set in the lower right corner is another square-shaped, agate stone. This stone is darker in color with shades of black, green, and white. The remaining space of the face is a checkered design of sterling silver. A lovely etched design carries part way along the shank of the ring. It is a stunning and very unusually piece and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The rectangular shaped face of the ring measures 1" tall, slightly more than 1/2" wide, and has a depth of 1/4". The ring has a finger size 5.5 but it could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver and both agate stones are intact. A natural patina can be found on the surface of the silver, which could be polished if desired.
