A magnificent turquoise ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold, this beautiful ring has an oval shaped face which is particularly large in size. A wonderful design of Pave (French for "pavement") set Persian turquoise stones rests in the center, creating a convex oval shape and the natural turquoise stones have a beautiful range of blue and green hues. A marvelous gold frame borders the turquoise center, intricately detailed with fine Etruscan wirework and twisted rope pattern. The sides of the mounting display a beautiful swirled wirework pattern completing the stunning design. Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 8 but could be re-sized. The oval shaped face measures approximately 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. When worn, the ring sits approximately 5/8" above the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the turquoise stones, all of which are intact.
