The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.

This fabulous diamond and ruby snake ring is from the Victorian (ca1880) era and is simply marvelous. Made of 18kt yellow gold, the ring portrays 2 intertwined snakes which coil beautifully around your finger. Each of the 2 snakes have a sparkling stone set in its head, one a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond and the other a luscious ruby. The snake bodies act as the ring's band and coil around each other forming a fabulous ring. There is a hand engraved phrase on the shank of the ring which includes the date "12-2-20". This beautiful ring looks stunning on and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of small size 6.5 but could easily be re-sized if desired. The width of the ring graduates in size from a little more than 1/8" to a little less than 3/4" wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the stones are intact.
