SKU: 34603

During the 19th century the discoveries of ancient archaeological finds influenced and brought on what is referred to as “archaeological revival jewelry”. The initial Egyptian Revival period flourished from the 1820's and was inspired by ancient Egyptian imagery such as the scarab beetle.

An absolutely exquisite scarab emerald and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful Egyptian Revival piece is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold and has a vibrant, hand carved emerald stone depicting a scarab at its center. The emerald, which weighs approximately 3ctw, is surrounded by 14 sparkling old European Cut diamonds which are prong set and have a total approximate weight of 0.70ctw. The band, which is simple smooth gold, graduates slightly in width and includes two smaller diamonds on on each shoulder. It's an incredible emerald and a stunning ring and would make an exquisite addition to any collection!

Measurements: The face of the ring measures approximately 3/4” tall, 3/4" wide, and 3/8" thick. The ring has a finger size 6.5 but could easily be re-sized if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or emerald and all of the stones are intact.
