Victorian 9kt Gold Opal & Diamond Gypsy Ring
A beautiful opal and diamond gypsy ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful piece is made of 9kt rose and yellow gold and has a beautiful trio of stones set in the center. The center stone is an opal cabochon, which is oval and displays a stunning range of colors including green, blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow, all of which flash beautifully when caught in the light. At either side of the center opal are 2 sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, complimenting the design perfectly. All of the 3 stones are set within a hand carved starburst design, which is typical of many gypsy rings from the Victorian era. Although the front of the ring is set in vibrant yellow gold, the sides and back of the band are made of rose gold, creating an interesting look. The inside of the band is stamped with several English hallmarks, including the letter "S", the numbers "9" and "375," an anchor, and the letter "h." This gorgeous ring is a simply wonderful Victorian piece that looks incredible when worn. It would make a stunning addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size of 8.25, but could be re-sized if desired.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the opal and both diamonds are intact.
