An incredible Art Deco (ca1920) era diamond engagement ring from J.E. Caldwell & Co.! This beautiful piece has an old European Cut diamond at the center of a stunning ornate platinum mounting. The diamond has a partial bezel setting and a weight of 4.02ct with J color and VS1 clarity. Also set within the stunning mounting are an additional 40 Single Cut diamonds which cover the sides and shoulders of the ring, These sparkling stones rest within a strong, geometric design with fine milgrained accents and cutouts, giving the ring an incredible look. The shank has several marks: "JEC & Co." and "H1506". We were told that the ring may have been produced by esteemed jeweler and manufacturer Oscar Heyman, however, we were not able to confirm this unequivocally. The center stone comes with its original GIA certification which was done in December 2013, confirming the above stated color, clarity and weight. The ring would make an absolutely stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.25 but could easily be re-sized. When worn, the ring sits about 1/4" atop your finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and all of the stones are intact.
