FAHRNER Art Deco Sterling Gilt Citrine & Marcasite Earrings
Wonderful signed Theodor Fahrner citrine earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Made of gilded sterling silver, these beautiful earrings have a teardrop shape that hangs from a decorative topper. Each earring holds a gorgeous citrine stone in the center within a double prong setting. Surrounding the citrines is a sterling ball pattern accented with a twisted rope design. Delicate marcasite stones decorate the outermost border of the teardrop shape and add a lovely sparkle. The back of each earring is marked "956" along with the authentic Theodor Fahrner "TF" hallmark. The earrings were originally screw backs that have been converted to yellow gold earring wires for comfortable wear. These wonderful earrings are very feminine and beautiful, and are certainly a must have for the Fahrner collector!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/2" long, 5/8" at the widest point and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling gilt setting or to the citrine stones and all of the marcasites are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
