An absolutely exquisite Cartier Paris platinum and diamond pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This wonderful and unusual piece is made of platinum and encrusted with approximately 2.50ct tw of sparkling diamonds. Depicting the shape of a slightly convex large horseshoe, this stunning pin has a wavy cutout design and milgrained detail. Set within it, are old Mine Cut and old Rose Cut diamonds that sparkle magnificently. On the back of the piece is the secure pin clasp which is made of 18kt gold. It is stamped "CARTIER PARIS" along with another stamp that is not fully legible. It's a stunning piece and would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures a little less than 1 1/2" at the widest point, a little less than 1 1/2" tall and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the platinum and gold setting. There is a very minor dent on the back which is not noticeable when the piece is worn. The gold clasp is secure and in good working condition and all of the diamonds are intact.
