Danish silversmith Georg Jensen was a renowned Danish silversmith born in the 1866. His training in metalsmithing and his education of the fine arts allowed him to develop a successful career of beautiful jewelry and silver design. His signature Art Nouveau style grew increasingly popular and Jensen became a world renowned artist. Jensen died in 1935 however his pieces are still being created today with the same craftsmanship as when he was alive.

This sterling silver ring is a great example of Georg Jensen's craft. Approximately from the 1930's, it is comprised of a single oval shaped cabochon hematite stone set in a simple yet beautiful sterling silver mounting. The hematite is bezel set and the silver setting ornately extends on each side of stone. On the back of the ring is the signature "GEORG JENSEN" hallmark which was used during the 1930's period, "STERLING", "DENMARK", and the number "51". This fabulous piece would make a great addition to any Jensen collection!

Measurements: The oval shaped hematite measures 5/8" wide, 3/4" tall and has a depth of 3/8". The ring has a finger size of a generous size 8 but it could easily be resized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the hematite stone and besides normal surface wear, there is no significant damage to the silver. The hematite is smooth and not dull and looks like it may have been recently polished.
