Victorian Silver Link & Ball Bracelet with Star Motif
A fabulous textured link bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of 14 twisted open links made of silver, each engraved all the way around in a striped design. Hugging each side of the open links are 6 rose gold loops, adding a decorative, mixed metals accent. Together, the links form an attractive bracelet which comes together at a large sterling clasp in the middle. Dangling below the clasp is a silver ball locket, which is patterned with a spiral striped design that covers its entire outer surface and further accented with 6-point rose gold stars. The ball is hinged and opens to reveal a small hollow compartment inside. The bail is stamped "900" along with a small hallmark. The piece looks fabulous worn alone, or could be layered with other complimentary pieces for a more dramatic look. A fantastic and unusual piece, it would be perfect for any collector!
Measurements: The link bracelet measures 7.5" long. Each open link measures approximately 1/2" long and 3/8" wide. The textured ball hangs 1" long and has a diameter of 3/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver or textured pattern and the spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition. The ball opens easily and closes securely.
