Art Deco French Sterling Silver Signet Ring
A signet ring can be represented with an intaglio, which is created by carving below the surface of a stone, or by a simple smooth seal. Its purpose would have been to seal the wax of a letter or note.
A wonderful sterling silver signet ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous French piece is very attractive, with a smooth rectangular seal in the center that could be left plain or engraved if desired.
