A gorgeous pair of coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these dramatic earrings is made of 14kt yellow gold and holds a single coral cabochon in the center. The coral rests within an oval-shaped bowl which is surrounded by twisted rope wirework and a scalloped frame. Each earring hangs from a decorative v-shaped topper which attaches to a simple gold earring wire. At the bottom of each earring is a fabulous fringed design comprised of 7 dangling gold bars. The elaborate design has a very elegant look which is striking when worn. They would make a wonderful addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long, measures approximately 1/2" at the widest point and has a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the coral or to the gold setting, fringed bars or wires.
