A fabulous piece from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! This sterling silver repousse perfume bottle has wonderful detail and is an exceptionally large size. A delicate image of a woman with flowers in her flowing hair decorates the entire surface, front and back, of the bottle. On top of the vessel, on both sides, are two silver rings which connect to a long, handmade silver chain. The top of the sterling bottle unscrews easily which is where a woman would have put her favorite perfume. On the bottom of the bottle are two numerical markings and the clasp of the chain is marked "STERLING"; please refer to the photos. This wonderful piece would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The scent bottle measures approximately 2 1/4" tall, 1 3/8" at the widest point, and 1/2" at the deepest point. The entire necklace measures approximately 22" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the scent bottle is excellent. There are no significant dents or scratches in the silver and the bottle topper screws on easily and securely. There is normal wear to the surface of the silver which is not uncommon for a piece of this age. The chain clasp is secure and in good working condition.
