Victorian 14kt Citrine Fob & Gold Link Watch Chain Bracelet
A fob is an adornment or a seal that hangs from the ribbon or chain of a pocket watch. Its purpose is to decorate or add weight to the watch chain itself making it easier for the watch to be withdrawn from a pocket. The fob would have been used to seal the wax of a letter or note.
A beautiful and ornate fob bracelet the Victorian (ca1880) era! This decorative piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and is comprised of a lovely watch chain and hanging fob. The fob is beautifully detailed with a wonderful swirled topper and ridged gold base and bail. At the base of the fob is a bezel set citrine stone, which is faceted and displays a lovely pale yellow color. The fob hangs from a gold watch chain, which consists of interlocking gold oval links that together form a flexible bracelet. At the center of the bracelet is a gold bar link and large jump ring from which the fob hangs. The two ends of the bracelet meet in the center and fasten with a simple spring ring clasp. This wonderful Victorian bracelet blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and looks incredible when worn! It would make a very special and beautiful addition to any collection.
