An incredible garnet and diamond bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous piece is a hinged bangle style bracelet made of 15kt yellow gold. The beautiful design is comprised of a row of 11 luscious garnet cabochons, which are separated by sections of old Rose Cut diamonds set in sterling silver. The oval shaped garnets are slightly graduated, with the larger stones in the center and the smaller stones towards the back. The contrast between the deep red hue of the garnet stones and the sparkling Rose Cut diamonds is simply magnificent! The underside of each garnet link displays a beautiful etched pattern in yellow gold, adding a beautiful feminine accent. The bracelet is hinged in two places and opens at a push clasp hidden seamlessly within one of the garnet links. A gold safety chain provides added security. This incredible garnet bracelet is remarkably beautiful and a wonderful example of Victorian artistry. It would look stunning worn day or night, and would make a very special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) has a diameter of 2 1/4". The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1/2" at the widest point and 3/8" at the narrowest point. At the thickest point it measures 3/8" and the narrowest point is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting and all of the garnet stones and diamonds are intact. The clasp and safety chain are both secure and in good working condition.
