Victorian Silver Gilt & Pave Persian Turquoise Bangle Bracelet
This wonderful turquoise bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era is absolutely stunning! Made of silver gilt, the bracelet is detailed with a row of gorgeous Persian turquoise stones set along the entire outside surface. All of the natural turquoise stones vary slightly in size and color, displaying a range of rich blue and green hues. At the center of the bracelet is an elegant design comprised of larger bezel set turquoise stones, which are elevated and form a Maltese cross, complete with smaller accent stones in between. The bracelet is hinged and opens at a small push clasp at the side, where a safety chain has been added for extra security. This delicate and feminine bracelet looks incredibly beautiful when worn and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall. The band of the bracelet measures approximately 1/8" wide, and the front centerpiece is approximately 2" wide and 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver gilt setting or to any of the turquoise stones, all of which are intact. The bracelet opens easily and fastens securely, and the safety chain is secure and in good working condition.
