An incredible sterling bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous sterling silver bracelet is particularly wide and has a fine wirework design across the front surface. The fantastic design incorporates several rows of intricate wirework, including a woven 4-strand braid in the center and delicate beadwork that borders the top and bottom edges. The back of the bracelet is smooth sterling silver with a set of monogrammed initials in flowing cursive script. Rich in detail, the bracelet is hinged and clasps on the side. The stamp "STERLING SILVER" appears on the inside of the piece just below the clasp. A wonderful handmade piece, the bangle has a classic Victorian look and displays excellent craftsmanship. Worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets, it would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1 3/8" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would fit) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 7/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting or wirework design, and the clasp and hinge are secure and in good working condition.
