Late Victorian 15kt & Platinum "Good Luck" Horseshoe Bracelet

SKU: 34965

A fabulous horseshoe bracelet from the Victorian (ca1900) era! This gorgeous piece is made of 14kt rosy yellow gold and forms the shape of a large horseshoe. Both sides of the reversible bracelet are detailed with 7 platinum nails (always 7 for good luck!) atop a shallow groove and on the outside of the curve is the hand engraved message "Wear it for good luck". The u-shaped bracelet curves comfortably around your wrist and is hinged to easily slide on and there is a safety chain connecting the two ends for added security. This bracelet is a very fashionable, classic piece that could be worn alone or stacked with other bracelets. It would be a perfect piece for the equestrian enthusiast or the fashion conscious woman!

Measurements: The opening (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. The surface of the bangle measures approximately 3/8" at the widest point and 1/4" at the narrowest point.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting or sterling nails. The bracelet opens easily and stays securely closed, and the hinge and safety chain are both in good condition.
